Our volunteers are very faithful in providing hands-on assistance during our events and the ones sponsored by others. These volunteers are a critical component of The Pink Ribbon Fund.
Several of our volunteers are breast cancer survivors themselves, therefore, they are totally aware of what our applicants are going through once they are diagnosed. The stress of the diagnosis of breast cancer is bad enough, but when the treatments begin and bills start arriving in the mailbox, the stress is magnified. That is where our volunteers come in, they know their work during events is helping those in distress similar to what they endured themselves in the past.
Love comes from each of these volunteers hearts as they identify with the motto of The Pink Robbin Fund "Help, Hope & Healing in the Pine Belt". That is why we do what we do! Most of the volunteers also know someone who has been affected by breast cancer and understand the devastation of this dreadful diagnosis on the individual and their families.
The volunteers socialize at the meetings and become very close friends. As volunteers, we will continue to let our applicants know they are not alone on this journey and that we will be there providing compassionate financial assistance to them for the breast caner diagnosis as well as quality of life issues related to their illness.
There can't be enough said about the sponsors and individuals that continue to contribute and support The Pink Ribbon Fund. Without them, we could not continue to do what we do! We can't thank them enough!
